Connor Kensel

Accounting Manager
Connor Kensel is a results-driven accounting and project finance professional with a strong track record of managing complex, multi-million-dollar capital initiatives. Previously serving as Capital & Revenue Accountant at the Cantigny Foundation (McCormick Foundation), Connor played a pivotal role in financial leadership, overseeing capital projects such as a $15M golf course renovation, a $10M clubhouse, and a $20M mansion restoration. He also partnered with the CIO on a $100M bond financing initiative, delivering strategic forecasts and capital expenditure insights.

Connor led the successful implementation of NetSuite ERP across the organization, streamlining workflows and enabling real-time financial reporting. His expertise spans budgeting, forecasting, accruals, audit preparation, and fixed asset management. He is known for developing standardized reporting tools, improving cash flow forecasting, and mentoring cross-functional teams through system transitions and process improvements.

Prior to his current role, Connor gained experience in tax and audit through internships at KPMG and Lauterbach & Amen, where he supported federal and state tax compliance, financial audits, and internal control evaluations for a range of clients.

Connor holds an MBA in Management from Southeastern Oklahoma State University (4.0 GPA) and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Illinois State University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He brings advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems like NetSuite and SAP, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to financial leadership.
