H. Steven Duncan
Managing PrincipalSteve is a founding member and Managing Principal of Clarius Partners and is responsible for all aspects of the business. This includes the joint oversight of all company operations, including human resources, administration, accounting, financial management, debt and equity financing, marketing, client relations, and new business procurement on a national, regional and local basis.
Prior to forming Clarius Partners, Steve was a Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Higgins Development Partners. During his tenure at Higgins, his responsibilities included the identification, pursuit, underwriting, entitlement, management and leasing of office, industrial and land development projects in the firm’s west region.
Prior to joining Higgins Development Partners, Steve was a Business Development Director with Johnson Controls, where he managed the firm’s relationships and development activities with four of the firm’s largest national development clients. Prior to Johnson Controls, Steve was a Vice President with Hines Interests in Chicago. At Hines, Steve was responsible for development, acquisition and disposition transactions that totaled more than $1.5 billion over a 10-year timeframe. Prior to Hines Interests, Steve was a Vice President with the First National Bank of Chicago. At First Chicago, Steve began his career as a commercial real estate lender. Later in his tenure with First Chicago, Steve played a key role in the bank’s real estate work-out department where he restructured or sold assets totaling more than $800 million.
Steve graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Finance, and from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University with a Master of Business Administration.
